Rudy
is currently working on
a series of portrait paintings
of artists who, over many years,
have strongly influenced
his work.
"Diego y Frida" is the first
in the series. The painting is a
portrait of Mexico City artists
Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo.
Rudy worked from a collection
of old photographs and self
portraits of the
artists to achieve
the best possible likeness.
The piece is acrylic on canvas
and measures 30" x 40".
The painting has been displayed
at several different venues and
was featured in the November 2007
issue
of Fresno Magazine, page 24.
The piece is a real eye catcher
and a must see painting.
